ISINDA
(Belenli) Turkey.
Site in Lycia 6 km
NE of Kaş, not mentioned by the ancient writers and
known only from inscriptions as a minor member of a
sympolity under Aperlai. The site is on a hill ca. 90 m
above the village; the masonry of the ring wall is of poor
quality and much repaired. On the summit are remains
of buildings, including a stoa with steps and projecting
wings, and many large worked blocks. The tombs include three rock tombs with Lycian inscriptions and a
pillar tomb with reliefs.
